On this Day: 1932

The Man in Black was born on this day in 1932. I've mentioned before that "Wayfaring Stranger" is one of my favorite songs ever, so you really hafta do it right. Who else but Johnny Cash.

Plus, check out this amazing collection, The Art of Being Johnny Cash. Grabbed the above picture from there, and definitely worth taking a look at the rest.

Johnny Cash has always been one of my favorite artists. And, while I do not like country, the old country artists (like Cash and Patsy, etc) I will listen to.

Folsum Prison is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Hey b -
The Johnny Cash version of Wayfaring Stranger is definitive, thanks for reminding me, I hadn't listened to it in a while...
Straight to Hell - great post, you ARE the queen ici!!! I haven't thought about this movie in YEARS, I dug out my old vhs copy and we watched it a couple of nights ago - big fun!!! Thanks for the soundtrack, i had it on cassette once, but it's long gone now...
I was wavering about In Bruges, but now I have to see it if only to hear Townes...
I'm glad you enjoyed Kim, it's been one of my favorite books for a loooong time - the first annotated paper I did in the eighth grade and the last paper I wrote in college were both on Kim. Download the audiobook if you have a chance, the fellow reading it does a great job...
